Review of the Richmond Bridal Show
On Sunday, August 9, 2009, Timely Events attended the Richmond Bridal Showcase in Richmond, VA. The event was held from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Upon arrival, we were greeted by numerous vendors wanting us to sample and take a peek at their products and services. As with most bridal expos, bakers were on hand with various cakes for all to taste. There were beautiful floral arrangements, wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses, and more food to tantalize our taste buds.
The highlight of the day was the highly anticipated fashion show which began promptly at 3 PM. Beautiful wedding gowns graced the runway! Hooped ballgown dresses, elegant, sophisticated, strapless satin wedding gowns were all on display. Magenta, pink, fuchsia, rustic brown bridesmaid dresses were eye-popping colors that transformed the runway.
While one would expect to see only women at an event such as this, there were a few men in the crowd who tagged along with their fiances. One guy in particular said he was persuade by his fiance to attend by the luring of food. Overall, this event was a success!
